How We Started........

Robin Enderby Blow MouldingsOver 25 years ago we started Blow Moulding Controls to represent Moog Controls Ltd. in the U. K. to sell and install their range of control systems for plastic moulding machinery. The Moog '25 point' Parison Programmer quickly became very popular due to its user friendliness and excellent combination of features. We sold hundreds of these systems, exporting them to over 20 countries, particularly the USA

Develop models

We were asked by a number of Blow Moulders if we would produce leak testers for them, and our first model, the QT-10 was born. This used analog electronics and was shipped with a 1.5 mt conveyor as standard. Our next model, the QT-10 Mk2 was a microprocessor unit, and we continued to develop models with additional test features until we arrived at our latest model, the AQS-2. We slipped into down-stream automation almost by accident!

At first customers asked for longer conveyors, then conveyors with bends, then merging bottles from other conveyors, 'wrap around' conveyors for twin station machines etc.... Our first collating tables were simple in design and construction, despite this, many are still in operation today. Further optional requested test features included, blocked neck bore, multi-heads for higher speeds, top-load strength, flash in handle, but our outstanding success was the addition of automatic container check-weighing.

innovation, not imitation

As the only leak tester manufacturer that was intimately familiar with Parison Programmers it was inevitable that we would patent a sophisticated system to correct the die gap to maintain a constant container weight. Our product design policy: innovation, not imitation

Our service policy

We turn most repairs around within 24 hours, and our response to field service requests is "same or next day" at the latest.
